Urban Storage - Hybride Museum
Museums are facing substantial changes in there exhibition concepts such as the individualisation.
Digitalisation has never been disseminated as widely and extensively as it is today. Therefore museums are facing substantial changes in there exhibition concepts such as the individualisation of exhibitions, that allow visitors and researchers to access information in a participative manner.
Digitalisation can help to create user-friendly exhibitions, „standard-exhibition-halls“ can not be sustainable for an individualised society.
Some of the important trends this project is dealing with are urbanisation, knowledge culture and individualization.
The main idea behind the design concept is to empower the visitors to curate their individual exhibition and to access the full spectrum of the collection. As Erik Schip, Dutch architect, says - We are all curators! We only need the opportunity.
