The Vaask touchless hand sanitizing fixture features an app alerting staff when it's time to refill.
How does it work?
Built to last, the Vaask touchless hand sanitizing fixture is an easy, cost-effective solution that significantly reduces germ transmission. The device features an online dashboard and app automatically alerting housekeeping and maintenance staffs when it's time to refill, eliminating the time-consuming chore of checking each individual dispenser and also ensuring dispensers always stay filled.
This exclusive technology solves the most common problem with hand sanitizer, which, despite being more essential than ever before, is frequently ignored as studies have found nearly 80% of people expect dispensers to be empty.
Vaask features:
- AC power or power-over-ethernet. (No batteries required.)
- Cast aluminum construction; 5-year warranty
- Options for custom colors, finishes and graphics
- PalmPilot sensor that precisely detects hands
- Refillable with any gel, saving companies up to 65% on monthly sanitizer costs.
- Recessed, wall-mounted or freestanding options
Why is it needed?
Studies show a large swath of humanity does not wash their hands as frequently or thoroughly as they should, no matter how often they’re reminded. A leading study found nearly one-third of those observed didn’t wash with soap after using the bathroom, and 95% of those who did use soap didn’t wash long enough to kill most germs.
And while handwashing rates have improved slightly compared to pre-pandemic levels, humans are well known for backsliding once the novelty of a situation has worn off. As the pandemic becomes endemic and workers return to offices, we all can agree the novelty has worn off.
The same issues hold true for hand sanitizer, as the pandemic exposed the design failure of traditional sanitizer options — always-empty automatic dispensers, inaccurate sensors that create constant messes and drips, and foul-smelling gels that dry out hands. With so many issues, it's no surprise that many people avoid hand sanitizer, even though our hands transmit 80% of illnesses.
How does it improve life?
Behind each of Vaask's differentiating features is a focus on advanced technology, designed to create a reliable experience. Vaask incorporates a high-end stepper motor and peristaltic pump, ensuring that it dispenses the correct amount of sanitizer every time.
Also, Vaask’s proprietary PalmPilot sensor eliminates drips and mess. The PalmPilot technology measures the speed at which light photons leave the sensor and return. Because the component measures speed rather than light, the PalmPilot sensor functions even in spaces where dust can be an issue and detects hands of any shade that would otherwise flummox everyday infrared sensors.
