Lingonaut
Speech therapy for kids through visuals, sounds and touch
Lingonaut is a device designed to aid children and therapists with their speech and language therapy process, its design has the purpose of enhancing the therapy and learning experience by using three elements: Visual, Sound, and Touch.
The device has been designed to function via speech recognition technology, the app "LingoQuest, is a responsive app, it allows the user to experience three different types of feedback simultaneously, the three types of feedback are; Visual ( L.E.D's would provide visual feedback, for example when sounding a word "blue" a blue L.E.D would turn on), Sound (the words would be visible via a sound spectrum as well as sounds from the game) and Touch (vibration motors would provide the sound of the words in a form of haptic feedback). This device is aimed at kids and its purpose is to enhance the kid's therapy by providing an extra set of feedback. It has been designed to be portable.
