Felix is a programmer with an academic background in architecture and physics. In 2010 he created a bridge from the virtual to the physical world: The Reality Builder allows participants to collaboratively direct assembly of a physical structure via the Internet. An installation with more than seventy life size building blocks (200×200×400 mm) was operated at Chaos Communication Camp 2015. Working on the Reality Builder led to the discovery of the Fab Lab movement and of maker culture in general. By experimenting with machines, materials, and electronics, Felix created further construction kits such as the BlockToy series or the Self Aware Network (SAN).

SAN (Self Aware Network) is a DIY Kit that understands its topology an visualizes it in real time.
SAN (Self Aware Network) is an experiment about the future. This open source DIY Kit works as network that understands its own topology and give a real time visualization of its assembling modifications on screen. It has possible applications in education, art and experimental architecture.
To get started:
1. Build nodes, edges, and the root node following instructions on Github.
2. Program the root node and the nodes.
3. Connect the root node to the computer.
4. Run the web app.
