Tech company "Embodied" has developed a robot that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to handle and respond to natural conversations and facial expressions while communicating with children. Moxie is a robot designed as a "living friend" concept that helps children aged 5 to 10 develop social, emotional and cognitive skills through play-oriented learning. It is possible to process and respond to natural interactions such as dialogue, facial expressions and eye contact thanks to SocialX, a machine learning platform developed by Embodied. Moxie is programmed to teach "life skills" one by one on a weekly basis. It encourages children to learn social skills such as kindness, friendship, empathy, and respect through various activities such as painting, breathing, meditation, problem solving, and reading. Children can also learn how to talk with eye contact, take turns, listen carefully, and show empathy.
