$20Boss
$20Boss equips youth with the skills to thrive in the new work order.
$20Boss is a program that builds young people’s capabilities to be enterprising. FYA led the design and development of the toolkit and cloud based interactive program.
All young people need to learn enterprise skills to be entrepreneurial, financially resilient and adaptable - but schools are struggling to keep with the pace of change. Our research predicts that a 15 year old today will have 15 jobs in 7 industries over their working life.
$20Boss is completely free to participate, mapped to national curriculum and is delivered by teachers in school. The fun and immersive program gives student $20 of start up capital to learn, build and run their business, all the while aspiring to make a profit and have a social purpose.
One teacher wrote ‘“Students had real money to make a real business with real consequences”. $20Boss launched in 2014, and has been rolled out nationationally, working with over 17,000 young people at 380 schools.
