Squishy Circuits Teaches Children About Electronics
Squishy Circuits uses two kinds of play-dough to teach kids how to build working electronic circuits
Squishy Circuits has developed a package where, with a few dollars worth of electronic parts, kids can safely learn about electricity and electronic circuits using "play dough" that they can make themselves. Two types of dough can be brewed up on the stove with ordinary baking ingredients, one conducts, one resists electricity. with a batter pack, some LEDs and a simple motor, kids can engage with and make their own creations and power them. This gets them exposure and empowerment to things that are normally mysterious and beyond their reach.
