RD Denim
Taking pre-consumer cut cotton knit waste and “re-fiberising” and spinning it into a new yarn.
R3 Denim™ is a collection of sustainable fabrics designed and milled by leading Georgia, USA based denim manufacturer DNA TEXTILE GROUP. DNA has been supplying innovative and modern denim fabrics to top denim designers in the apparel industry since 2002.
R3 Denim™ utilizes ECO2cotton™ fibers from textile waste including t-shirts and jean fabric waste left on the cutting room floors of apparel manufacturers that would otherwise be sent to landfill or incinerated. The waste is regenerated mechanically into cotton fiber and then spun into yarn. The totally mechanical process is free of chemicals and water usage. Each pair of jeans made with R3 Denim™ contains the equivalent of two recycled t-shirts. Our mill has been operating on natural gas from inception, resulting in avoided emissions equivalent to removing 1,250 passenger vehicles from the road.
