Arthrogryposis matters
A simple activity of cutting paper is possible for disabled using this innovated design.
The concern of a teacher with a 9-year-old student with arthrogryposis, brought to FabLab this project problem that was developed using 3D printing tools. The simple activity of cutting paper in the classroom is hampered by the disability of a child who has limited mobility. The available scissors on the market today do not meet the necessary conditions of use for children in these scenario. In this way, digital manufacturing, personalized and customized, can offer children autonomy, freedom and equality. The playful design and colors are suitable for children at any age and can be fabricated by anyone who has a 3D printer, which is very common in the world today. Therefore, it can be reached for people with similar physical conditions.
