We are entering a new era for animal production in the agricultural world. The demand for protein is increasing worldwide - especially animal protein. This means that it becomes harder and harder for livestock producers to obtain enough high-quality feed that at the same time comply with the more stringent requirements for origin. Insects can be the answer. We have since January 2018 established a laboratory and a test production and we are in the process of developing production systems for breeding black soldier flies, in Latin called Hermetia Illucens. Our vision is to substitute parts of the more environmentally harmful protein sources that are currently used in feed and food with protein from insects.
