Oyster-Breeding Raft designed to deal with pollution.
To deal with the pollution caused by discarded raft,we have presented an assistive design for oyster farming that incorporates three major functions: 1. sustainable development of environmental protection, 2. ease of operation and
3. intelligent management. Current bamboo oyster raft use polystyrene as the buoyancy source in cultivation.Owing to this material’s poor weatherability and short life span, there result substantial discarded oyster raft and polystyrene after annual typhoons in coastal areas of East Asian, such as Taiwan’s southwestern coast, causing serious pollution. Modular design for easy moving and arrangement choice and increasing anti-wave resistance.Suitable size for harbour entry and free from typhoon damage. Free assembly and arrangement depend on terrain and breeding demand.
Retractable polyurethane bellows are used for replacing polystyrene to adapt the need for buoyancy regulation in the growth process of oyster strings.
