M.O.T.S are a game set and method designed to initiate children to language and cultural diversity
M.O.T.S are an educational game set and method which aim is to trigger children about the plurality of languages and therefore introduce the concept of diversity in preschools. It was developed in close collaboration with Marcel Cachin Preschool, teacher Cécile Mohamadi and her class of 5 years old, Education Counselor Elisabeth Schirmer, and psychologist Martine Daniel.
The game set is made of different known educative tools. From stencils to stamps, children can play with a multitude of different traditional games displaying different alphabets and idioms. The games are modular and the laser-cut technique enables them to be customized according to the need of its user (language, material, and ergonomy choice).
It is now used within workshops around language awareness meant for children between 5 and 7 years old.
MOTS won the Social Design Talent Award 2016 (Gemeente Eindhoven) and will be developed in Brabant Preschools (Eindhoven).
