We-aver
TPU printed therapeutic shoes for children
How does it work?
The design has three main components: a dynamic sole, an ankle cushion, a modular insole, and a print-knit fabric. The sole contributes to comfort thanks to a foot pressure distribution design and the ankle cushion delivers soft touch to the ankle and enables the slip-on function. Featuring anatomical arch support, the modular insole cradles the foot and customizes zoning softness to relieve Calcaneal Apophysitis pain. The print-knit upper is calculated with parametric tools and made from a 3d-printed fabric with anisotropy, it wraps tightly around the foot in one direction to maintain stability, yet it provides enough flexibility.
Why is it needed?
We-aver is a design used during childhood to foster a healthy posture and bone development, the objective is to protect the growing bones and prevent future foot injuries.
How does it improve life?
These shoes, designed for children aged 8 to 14 years old, have flexible soles that bend with every step, offer support in the center of the shoe to eliminate twisting, and give shock absorption and stabilization in the heels. The hollow-loose knitting structure gives the shoes the flexibility necessary for supporting the growing feet of children. At the same time, however, the shoe also offers stable support to make sure the heels don’t lose their suppleness in the long run.
