GoVirol
The future of antiviral protection
How does it work?
CodiKoat have developed the fastest ISO certified antimicrobial and antiviral coating technology in the world. Our unique technology uses surface functionalised nanostructures to inactivate viruses, bacteria and fungi within seconds of contact - including coronaviruses.
CodiKoat's unique solution uses weak electric current to eradicate virus particles. Our technology alters the surface charge characteristic of virus particles, destabilising the electrokinetic properties of the viruses and forcing them together. The aggregated viral particles then lose their ability to enter host cells and are rendered inactive. This mechanism happens in a short time scale (< 10 seconds) producing a fast-acting inactivation of viral particles and harmful bacteria.
Why is it needed?
GoVirol removes 90% of harmful bacteria, including human coronavirus particles, within just 2 seconds of contact time, with 99% efficacy in under 10 seconds.
Existing antiviral technologies using silver or copper-based particles can take hours to produce any antiviral or antimicrobial effect. GoVirol's ISO 21702:2019 certification proves it to be the fastest antiviral coronavirus protection of its type in the world.
While traditional silver and copper coatings only last a limited time (typically 30-60 days), GoVirol's advanced technology means that the coating can last a product’s entire life cycle without losing performance. This makes it the most sustainable, durable solution available.
How does it improve life?
CodiKoat technology can coat any surface — be it hard or soft, rough or smooth, curved or flat — with nanoparticles of any composition and size. GoVirol can be applied retroactively, or as part of the manufacturing process.
The applications for GoVirol are limitless, with potentially billions of high-contact surfaces ready to benefit from this potentially life-saving technology.
