How does it work?
BLUEVIEW is the first to combine biodegradable* materials with an ocean of comfort and serious durability, for a game changing shoe that is sustainable, while still being stylish.
The BLUEVIEW Pacific sneaker was designed and developed by a passionate team of footwear industry veterans and world class scientists. When we’re not busy at work, you can find us surfing, beaching, hiking, and outside enjoying nature. It was our love for the oceans that inspired us to invent Soleic, the world’s first fully biodegradable* foam for shoes. The footwear industry has a lot of work to do to clean up it’s act.
Most shoes are made from non-degradable plastic that persists for 400 to 500 years on our planet. Recycling these non-degradable plastics isn’t doing enough. We have to reinvent materials that harmonize with nature and drive their adoption across the whole industry. We’ll lead the fight against pollution, because someone has to.
Why is it needed?
The ocean is life. It gives us waves to ride, food to eat and essential quality time with our friends and family. We build our lifestyles around it.
But with our dependency on petroleum products, humans have taken quite a toll on our ecosystems. When we discard old stuff, it takes up room in our growing landfills, or worse, it pollutes the seas and waterways that we are so connected to.
How does it improve life?
BLUEVIEW has fully revolutionized the footwear industry by replacing petroleum plastics with plant based plastics. Our innovative plant-based shoes are constructed of biodegradable* materials, and our eco-conscious materials don’t sacrifice durability for environmental responsibility. We are proud to bring footwear to market that will biodegrade* in the natural environment, removing it from the waste stream and keeping plastic pollution out of our oceans.
