biped has in-built 3D cameras that can be paired with headphones or Bluetooth earphones to warn users about the position of obstacles around them. Placed on the wearer's shoulders, it can predict the trajectories of obstacles around the wearer, similar to an autonomous vehicle. It then provides feedback to the wearer through sound. It can be used for up to six hours at a time and also works in dark locations.

People with visual impairments and/or who live with blindness benefit from technology that makes their everyday life easier to overcome. biped is a complement to the white cane, a needed alternative for people in mobility training or other looking for additional guidance devices.

The device will be available in Europe from September 2022. The brand is creating the harness in a small and a large option, which will work for anyone over 1.5 metres tall.
