’Hvad er love’ [What is love] is a universe of fun and thought-provoking activities such as a user-friendly and playful website and a board game. Through their bodies and their creativity children and adolescents are invited to explore the concept of self-love in a happy and safe manner. Operating at the eye level of a child the designers have observed and tested a universe where the child learns to sense herself, experience her feelings and her value – on her own terms. She hugs herself, rolls with laughter and looks herself in the eyes. And she assembles her own activity packet by navigating a series of amusing animal memes. In this affluent and developed world it’s an incredible paradox that children and young people fail to thrive like never before. Pressure, expectations and uncertainty take their toll on their self-esteem and their self-worth.
