nOuch: Non-invasive glucose device for infants
Non-invasive glucose device for infants with diabetes using colour as a glucose measure.
Based on non-invasive technology, this glucose measurer device for diabetic children, has been designed as an Industrial Design Engineering's Bachelor final project. The use of colours helps the user, children aged 4 to 10, to understand their glucose state at every given moment of their day. This eases the hurdles of understanding numbers for children who are not able to yet read, or are still not able to understand complicated glucose readings.Having analysed the user's environments and their behaviour towards their reading devices, the product's appearance is designed with attractive toy's aesthetics, merging successfully to the user's lifestyle and their atmosphere. In order to resist their daily activities, it is reinforced with resistant materials. As a means to eliminate stigmas related to disease-dependant devices, the friendliness and simple relationship to the user results as an improvement for conventional glucose devices.
