The City of Pasadena wanted to beautify the site and neighborhood of an active electronic power plant. The design concept revolved around creating harmony between nature and technology with PowerPLANTs and PowerSEEDs as solar powered illumination for public spaces. Individual PowerSEEDs units can be embedded in sidewalks to improve pedestrian orientation. PowerPLANTs are 24 m tall bionic lights swaying gently in the wind with plant-like movement, superimposed with electronic impulses of light.
