How does it work?
ChoViva has the delicious taste of chocolate, is 100% natural, and is kind to our planet. It's made from a fermentation process that involves oats and oleaginous yeast.
Why is it needed?
The team behind ChoViva were dreaming about a chocolate for which no trees had to be cut down, no precious water was wasted, no fragile ecosystems were disturbed, and no child had to work. And since they couldn’t get rid of the problems associated with the cocoa bean, they just got rid of cacao! What they didn’t get rid of is everything people adore about chocolate: The taste, the mouthfeel, the delicious aroma, that luxurious snap you get when you break off a generous chunk. That was how ChoViva, the world’s first 100% cocoa-free chocolate, was born. Of course, it’s vegan and only made from natural ingredients like oats.
How does it improve life?
In 2022, ChoViva was on a pop-up tour so consumers can taste the chocolate. Currently the company is producing cocoa butter, cocoa powder and their chocolate. They also have four different versions of ChoViva: baking-proof, one for enrobing, one for making chocolate chips, as well as organic and sugar-free versions.
