EterRNA
New videogame lets amateur researchers mess with RNA – gaming for humanity
Gaming in service of humanity. By playing EteRNA amateurs are creating possible RNA designs – to inspire scientists. The thousands of RNA designs are shared in the first large-scale library of synthetic RNA designs. The gamers efforts are helping reveal new principles for designing RNA-based switches and nanomachines -- new systems for seeking and eventually controlling living cells and disease-causing viruses. By interacting with thousands of players and learning from real experimental feedback, gamers are pioneering a completely new way to do science. Join the global laboratory – and have fun!
