Ceremony Room
Ceremony Room is an architectural proposal for a multifaith space where life ceremonies take place.
Ceremony Room is an architectural proposal for a multifaith space where life ceremonies take place, regardless of belief, faith or spirituality. It is an architectural exploration adapting to the diversity of multicultural and secular societies. Ceremony Room is a circular glass structure made of 7 stacked rings of various height with a large rotating mirrored roof. The plan is directionless, placing the visitors in its center, encircling those within. The architecture provides a communal place to share meaningful moments without the use of symbols or artifacts. Universal elements such as light and water are used to create an atmospheric spatial experience. Free from context and scale, it’s adaptable to all locations, be it an area of scenic beauty or part of an urban landscape. Ceremony Room is not just a preliminary design, it´s a statement about meaningful new architecture. It’s a unique chance to promote acceptance and understanding; creating a space that is including and unifying.
