3:60
3:60 is a low-cost analogue time-lapse panning device for smartphones and light-weight cameras.
3:60 is an low-cost analogue time-lapse panning device that empowers the user with the ability to take panning time-lapse with a simple twist. This project is done based on insights of the increasing number of casual photography/videography enthusiast and decrease prices of light-weight cameras and smartphone. The objective is to provide a hassle-free experience of creating a panning time-lapse.
By being able to also function as a stand for the camera, it makes the tripod optional. This opens up possibilities of a whole variety of extraordinary camera angles that is usually not achievable for time-lapses. It uses 1/4” - 20 thread, which is used in most cameras and accessories.
3:60 uses a simple winding clockwork mechanism. No batteries is needed to work. The users already have enough battery operated devices to worry about. Its overall form is determined by its internal components. There are no excessive decoration, only functional graphics to be used as indication of operation.
