Le Pavé®
An unique material that's both recycled and recyclable
How does it work?
Originally, Le Pavé® is produced in panels. Entirely made of plastic waste recovered and transformed locally, it is a healthy, versatile, malleable and durable material. Le Pavé® can be sawn, drilled, chamfered, sanded… It can be worked as easily as wood to adapt to many applications. It is available in a collection of textures, allowing the colours of the original plastic waste that makes it up to express themselves.
Why is it needed?
Everywhere in France, Le Pavé® identifies deposits of plastic waste, whether post-industrial or post-consumer. This resource has promising yet little-known characteristics and mechanical properties, which they are studying in order to revalue the raw material in the construction sector. Once identified, crushed and transformed via their unique process, the waste is finally presented in the form of massive plates.
How does it improve life?
Paving stone is a recycled material, but it is also recyclable. At the end of its life, we can crush your plates in our factory to reintegrate them into a new project. Their solid aspect ensures stable mechanical properties over the long term. For a 19mm plate weighing 28 kilograms, 35 kilograms of CO2 emissions are avoided, the ratio being 1,500 kg of CO2 avoided compared to one ton of virgin plastic produced.
