How does it work?
Through research, grant-making and advocacy, Africa No Filter aims to build the field of narrative change-makers by supporting storytellers, investing in media platforms and driving disruption campaigns.
Why is it needed?
The prevailing stereotypical narrative of Africa as the continent of poverty, disease, conflict, poor leadership and corruption is outdated.
How does it improve life?
More stories are needed to inspire hope and pride. Stories that change the narrative and highlight creativity and innovation, and that Africa has agency.
