Spotly
An online platform for sharing unconventional & flexible showroom spots around the city.
How does it work?
On Spotly.co you can rent out or book showroom spots. Be it a shelf in a store to showcase your product, a wall in a cafe to showcase art, a parking lot for a fashion show, or wherever & whenever it makes sense for a brand or a designer to be. Like Airbnb the space-owner (hosts) sets the terms & price & has the final say on what fits in their respective space & concept. On top of the renting value, the host can add services like unpacking & wracking, vernissage opportunities, help with sales, sharing in social media channels etc. Whatever will make the pop-up showcase exciting for visitors & easy to set up for the brand or creative renting the spot. We operate across the Nordics giving you the opportunity to showcase in new markets & create showcase campaigns across larger regions. If you are a chain with many spots to share, we also offer help on curation through our Spotly community engaging some of the most exciting creative upcomers of design, art & startups brands.
Why is it needed?
Our cities are hungering for new & local experiences while physical retail stores are struggling. At the same time, there is a huge group of talented upcoming brands & creatives without access to city space & key audiences. Maybe you want to test an idea before applying for big funding? Test a new market before committing to open a new store? Maybe you are an online brand that only needs to be present on an event basis? Or your product is seasonal dependent? Or are you looking to co-brand yourself with already exciting concepts? The needs are many & they will only accelerate. Year-long contracts, high deposits & lack of transparency challenge these newcomers on the renting market. There has been no infrastructure to support the much-needed flexible renting terms - until now. The Spotly platform is here to bridge that gap by making it easy for space-owners and content producers to collaborate, resulting in more exciting, accessible & sustainable cities for everyone.
How does it improve life?
Our aim is to make our cities more accessible, sustainable, innovative & inclusive while at the same time creating more exciting experiences for the people who live there: - More accessible, by lowering the economic threshold for access to exclusive audiences & spaces - More sustainable, by better use of the already existing square meters without using additional resources - more inclusive, by allowing more people and experiences to be shared across geographical & social borders - More innovative, by fostering new collaboration across concepts, geography, status, etc. & making it easier to showcase and test new ideas to a broader audience - and finally, by allowing our cities to house even more experiences supporting local life & cultural well-being
