Scientific research to find the cure for diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer requires immense computing power, which was lacking in Prof Thomas Rattei’s scientific research in the University of Vienna. Collaborating with Samsung Austria, Power Sleep app was created to turn every single Android mobile phone into a network computer while not being used during sleep. The app bridges the gap between science and society without interfering with people’s use of their mobile phones or personal data.
