Neighbourhood Innovation Lab
Foster an inclusive neighborhood identity in dense Asian cities
Neighbourhood Innovation Lab seeks to understand how to foster an inclusive neighbourhood identity in dense Asian cities. It is an initiative by Architecture Commons to design the process of shaping the neighborhoods adopting an inclusive, human-centered design approach. They are creating a platform to listen and co-create, synthesizing them into actionable insights for all relevant stakeholders, and eventually providing possible testable solutions to the problems raised by the public. NIL is interested to attract different levels of engagement with the community. To first raise awareness, then to work with them on more engaged and longer sessions of ideation workshops, and lastly, to train a small number of fellows to help our research, social listening, and engagement activities throughout. The aim is to increase their creativity, awareness, and empathy towards the neighborhood by exposing them to hands-on methods of engaging with people.
