biodegradable sanitary napkins
organic sanitary pads reduces plastic waste and eliminate health risks and diseases in women.
The synthetic sanitary napkins are causing skin diseases, cancers and infertility in women. they are also causing plastic pollution and are the cause of 5th biggest plastic pollution in the world. The 100% biodegradable sanitary napkins is not only unique in design but the material is also affordable and environmental friendly. It works like an ordinary sanitary napkins with affordable raw material which biodegrades quickly. Instead of organic cotton which is expensive and consumes more water, jute fabric is used. Instead of super absorbent polymer and plastic, cultural mycelium is used that can absorb liquid. instead of plastic,PLA vegetable starch or PHA bioplastic is used. On the top layer beeswax is used for better absorbency and comfort. It can be used as a regular sanitary napkins and thrown away and it biodegrades in 6-8 months. The raw material and this design of layers can be used as bases for other hygiene products like diapers and other cotton based pads. Concept design, currently being researched on.
