Moirai Biodesign is a startup born with the ambition to improve human health. Our first project is the development of an ultrafast, low cost and lab free diagnostic kit for Acute Myeloid Leukemia, that will use a small blood sample and which will not require a lumbar puncture. We believe that this will especially benefit those countries and field hospitals that suffer from limited resources in terms of medical facilities and trained professionals. We will use the pledged funds to develop a prototype of this diagnostic kit. Once the prototype is ready, we’ll be in position to build a fully regulated medical device and start improving the lives of thousands of patients. Up to the 20% of the funds raised will be donated to the Breakthrough Cancer Research and to the UnoEntreCienMil foundations, from Ireland and Spain respectively, who also fight against cancer, and with which we collaborate.
