Compensate is a nonprofit on a mission to combat climate change by offering people ways to offset the emissions of everyday life. Reducing our carbon emissions is the primary way to fight climate change. But it is not enough. The excess carbon dioxide must be removed from the atmosphere. Compensate empowers individuals and businesses to act on precisely that. All compensation payments go to carbon capture projects, currently supporting forestation and the protection of trees – thus removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Climate change is everyone's responsibility and stopping it the most important task of our time. We need more ambitious politics and more responsible companies, and we need solutions for individuals to fight climate change. The most essential requirement for our survival is that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere does not increase any further.
