Three geometries for dialogue: pedagogical tools for restorative justice
These are pedagogical tools that work as mediators on psychosocial and restorative justice dynamics.
What would happen if instead of thinking on designing elements for punishment and control, we think of spaces for forgiveness and reconciliation? The question, of course, can also be thought of in other terms: Which kind of elements could be built if we think of alternative ways of understanding justice rather than just focusing on a retributive and punitive definition? Three geometries for dialogue: pedagogical tools for restorative justice wants to answer that question and be materialized into toolkits for pedagogical dynamics that support alternative accounts and methods of justice and to affect the ways people relate to one another. That is to say, this project aims to call attention to problems related to incarceration, to the benefits of forgiving in a society like Colombia, to disseminate and generate empathy with the processes of restorative justice in a social context where revenge and punishment have become the rule, and to become a solving conflict tactic for diverse spaces.
