Taitung Design Center (TTDC)
The Taitung Design Center (TTDC) is the first model “Municipal-level Design Center” of Taiwan.
The Taitung Design Center (TTDC) is the first Design Center in county level in Taiwan, collaborated by government sectors and local creative consulting teams. Recently, Design governance has become the core for innovation to elevate local industry, city brand repositioning and solve city issue in Taiwan. TTDC is a design system in municipal, established in 2017 by Taitung County Government in response to reconstruction efforts following Typhoon Nepartak hit in July, 2016. Introducing designers from different fields to participate city-related projects, TTDC creates a platform for public sectors and designers to communicate towards governance at the time.
