Algae Hut
Algae Hut concept is inspired from one of the most productive and valuable ecosystems(seaweeds) ).
It consists of a glassy huge bubble which is floating on the sea surface(like floating small hotel) with the foundation of seaweeds. Top of the glassy space is covered with solar panels due to absorb solar energy for providing the hut’s energy. From an ecological point of view, seaweeds are considered as ecosystem engineers that play key roles of habitat-forming environment alongside with protecting the coastal areas against forcing conditions. Not only, they can reduce the storm waves but also they can moderate swells and wind-waves. More precisely, these approaches lead to decrease chronic shoreline erosion and promote shoreline accretion in coastal areas.In order to achieve high-performing structures of the algae, Cyborg offers the ability to design performative architecture through the integration of organic sub-systems into the algae hut such as Microalgae that are cultivated in glassy panels between the Algae shaped structure which leads to enrich the ecosystem under each hut.
