Less is Max
Less is Max: a boardgame, a toolkit for fulfilling needs, a vital journey for feeling-thinking-doing
This game is inspired by the book, “Human Scale Development: an option for the future” by Manfred Max-Neef, Antonio Elizalde and Martín Hopenhayn. The book is considered by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) to be one of the top 50 Sustainability books. Less is Max is a board game for 2 to 5 players (10+). In short, the philosophy behind the game tells us that: “It simulates a vital journey for the player, where the only thing we have (or not) is time. A journey in which, on some occasions, one chooses or at other times, just as in real life, fate takes a hand providing experiences that either empower us or weigh us down. The intention is not to judge using these cards but rather leave it up to each player to find their own answers. The important thing is knowing our needs and the process by which we improve ourselves to get closer to becoming the best version of ourselves, not only as people but as a society”
