Eventbox is a waste sorting system designed for events that makes it possible for visitors to sort their waste. The goal of Eventbox is to make waste sorting a natural part of any event, and to raise awareness about recycling behaviour both for visitors and event organisers. The system consists of four bins for four different waste types.The size and shape of the bins make it easy to handle, store and transport. The shape, color and text clearly communicate the sorting category to visitors. The Eventbox for recyclables are white, which expresses purity and indicates that these resources are precious. The bin for residual waste is black, which expresses the opposite – trash is burned and not recycled. The deposit holes are an integrated part of the design and communication. Each deposit hole is designed to reflect the respective waste type. Eventbox is designed to encourage interaction between visitor and bin and thereby makes visitors an active part of the events sustainability actions
