Floral Knot Rug is a carpet made of wool single-module blocks. It is hand-cut and knotted into a complete pattern. When we visit fabric markets in Taiwan, the fabric industry will have a lot of waste left after cutting. Most of the fabrics are difficult to use due to insufficient yardage which inspires us. Thus,the completed pattern becomes new one which can be used again. Using the oriental knot impression, the remaining fabrics are cut into single-module blocks, and each unit is repeatedly knitted, transformed into the abstract landscape of Eastern culture, and the collage of images woven with floral knots becomes a new rug.
