CUBA BUBA are autonomous play centres for Children's Hospitals. They are designed to immerse small patients in an emotionally friendly environment. These centres help children overcome psychological stress while they are undergoing medical treatment. Reducing stress has been found to greatly increase speed of recovery. CUBA BUBA #2 encourages children to explore the world using their body and movement. It invites them into a white sea with thousands of holes, which could be connected with colourful ropes to form a unique creation. The centre also is being used as a place by children and parents communication and as a healing tool by psychologists and rehabilitators. Suitable for ages 3 to 16. The construction is intended to be installed in accessible areas of children’s hospitals i.e. playrooms or hallways. The standard size is 2,4?1,7?2,3 m which allows CUBA BUBA to be installed in small areas. Ecological and safe materials are used.
