Help Yourself herb garden
Harvest fresh herbs from a supermarket
Developed with design agency studiomfd, the ‘Help Yourself’ herb garden was created to offer customers fresh produce that they could pick themselves taking only what they need. As soon as the herbs are ready to be harvested they are transported into the stores into their mini greenhouses. Customers can pick only a few sprigs or the entire plant, depending on what they want. After the customers pick their herbs they can wash their hands as a sink has been provided by the supermarket. Albert Heijn is one of the biggest supermarket in the Netherlands and the first to offer in-store farming.
