Chansey-Water controller
water-saving product designed for children and parents in combination with an app and electronics.
Water is the most important element on earth. Everyone in every family has an obligation to protect and conserve water. Adult water meters are easy to read. But it is difficult for children. We have designed an interesting product that is a virtual system of emotional facial expressions combined with water meters. Children can understand the situation through its emotions. Our design is divided into two parts. App for parents and toys for children. Parents can identify their water usage at any time. Users can also get some suggestions or tips for saving water. Small tasks and rewards can help children learn and save water properly. There is an interactive voice control system in the toys that children can talk to and hear. Children can touch and hug the toy. It can also be seen as a communication system between children and parents. We also considered the ergonomics and symbolism of our toys. We discovered a threatened species called Axolotl in Mexico that faces water problems.
