LykkeLiga must over a three-year period, build and develop a national network of handball teams for children with disabilities at the age of 6-15. The project aims to activate more than 300 developmentally disabled children of at least 15 teams. It is team spirit in all positions. LykkeLiga wants to build a fun, biased and loving community between families with children with disabilities. Here we are in common about something else than a concrete diagnosis. Life as a family with a mentally handicapped child is often centered on special education, limitations, struggles with the municipality, curious eyes on the street, health problems, increased pressure on daily life, siblings problems and lots of worries. Too many of everyday activities remind you that the family is not like everyone else. All too often, the families and the mentally retarded children are remembered for all that they cannot. LykkeLiga will create more smiles, laughs and positive experiences.
