Eco-shelterscape of fishery
The "Shelterscape" is committed to recover fishing grounds that are facing with overfishing issue.
From the beginning of thought, the book “Unnatural History of the Sea” delineates the cruel history how human civilization overuses the natural resource to destroy the balance of ecological chain.Evidence shows that human activity, including the intense fishing around the world, is continuing to cause the greater impact to the ocean compared with the continent.According to numerous scientific studies, fish, shellfish, and other important sea species are declining in many places. These changes are impairing the ocean’s capacity to provide food, protect livelihoods, maintain clean water, and recover from environmental stresses like severe storms.
Therefore, the project's initial approach is to design an sand-silt prototype in landscape scale. It committed to forbid fishing boats getting into fishing grounds and force them to use traditional fishing skills to replace high density fishing ways in the present.Eventually, the shelterscape will combine with local lifestyle and change it right.
