Beyond coffee
Beyond Coffee takes advantage of the nutrients in coffee grounds
When making coffee, we use only around 0,2 percent of the nutrients in coffee, which is the aroma the boiling water absorbs. Beyond Coffee discovered that there is a large potential to grow mushrooms in the coffee ground, since this has turned out to be an ideal environment for mushrooms to grow in.
From their little shop in Copenhagen, Beyond Coffee sells a variety of products - everything having to do with either mushrooms or coffee. People can e.g. buy their own growing kit and receive guidance on how to take advantage of the coffee ground to from mushrooms; a variety of products made from mushrooms grown by the team behind Beyond Coffee; cups made from recycled coffee ground; and lastly just coffee ground.
