Last Mile Health
Last Mile Health trains rural Liberians to save lives in the world’s most remote village.
Last Mile Health saves lives in the world’s most remote villages. LMH specializes in the development and management of professionalized Community Health Workers who bridge the gap between hospital and remote villages, bringing critical services to the doorsteps of people living in the last mile. Last Mile Health aims to bring health care directly to the doorsteps of the most remote villages in the Liberian countryside. Last Mile Health trains, equips, and supervises engaged community members as health professionals. These frontline health workers (FHWs) are then connected to a rural health clinic to act as a network of primary care providers. FHWs provide preventative health consultations, diagnose disease, and treat life threatening conditions. By providing health care to the most remote population, Last Mile Health's FHWs are transforming access to health services and health outcomes in the region.
