Noora Health
High-impact health skill training for marginalized patient families, improves outcomes & saves lives
Transforming hospital waiting-rooms into classrooms by turning nurses into teachers; & certifying all of families passing through healthcare facilities in conditions they are going home with. By empowering family members of patients with high-impact health skills, we put healthcare into hands of those who need it most, in some of the world’s most under-served communities. Have shown a 71% reduction in complication rates at 30-days for cardiac surgery with this simple, cost-effective, highly scalable intervention. Noora does trainings for families that have gone through or been diagnosed with following conditions: cardiac surgery, major surgeries, diabetes, cancer, newborn care, & pre-term birth. Already in 26+ hospitals in India & several in the United States – this intervention not only saves lives across multiple conditions, but also saves valuable time & resources for healthcare institutions trying to meet needs of the world’s poorest. Has trained 45,000+ family members since 2014.
