7 Braille
A Simple Keypad App That Enables Visually Impaired To Easily Type On Touch-Screens.
7 BRAILLE is a revolutionary typing alternative for view-free typing on a touch screen. It is a system wide integrated keypad for mobile OS. The keypad is based on Braille typing system for input. It presents an adapted form of the same by dividing the screen into 6 boxes overlay-ed with a portal in center. User can use one finger to touch boxes of choice in a single swipe, & on lifting the finger, corresponding character is spoken out. He can turn to landscape orientation anytime to hear the content typed, and to access options such as copy, paste, select, auto-correct etc. This interface is a simple, reliable and efficient typing experience, even for smaller displays such as smart-watches. This was validated recently when visually impaired users identified this as best product when presented with 7 Braille, qwerty (with screen reader), iOS8 Braille and mBraille typing options without disclosing the names. 7 BRAILLE is priced for free in developing regions & $20 in developed regions.
