We're thrilled to once again partner with the Distributed Design Award for 2020. The prize, run by the Distributed Design, celebrates the world's best maker and design responses to the post-industrial design paradigm.
The award recognises the most innovative, supportive and sustainably designed projects across Europe. It's run across six different categories, with a broad range of impressive prizes up for grabs. The categories include Future Thinking; Design Aesthetics, Circular Design, Adaptable & Open Design, Sustainable Production, and Design for Emergency.
Finally, one overall winner will take home the Project Excellence prize, which recognises the best among all the category winners. The Project Excellence winners will receive €2,000 in project funding and a mentorship session with The Index Project.
Distributed Design is a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. It fosters the role of emerging makers and designers as part of our new digitised world. This award is open to anyone working in the creative disciplines dealing with Design and Making: creative players, makers, designers, artists, architects, scientists, students and others.
The winners will be selected by international prestigious experts including Daniel Charny from Fixperts, Guillaume Charny-Brunet from SPACE10, Indi Johar from Dark Matter Labs, Liza Chong from The Index Project, Nadya Peek from HCDE, and Primavera de Filippi from Harvard.
