In Split, the second largest city of Croatia, only 1% of the waste is separated, but to compound the problems city dumps do not meet standards for the protection of health and the environment. The campaign, addressing schools and kindergartens, aims to show that waste contains valuable material, to teach people how to recognize dangerous waste and to stimulate people to get involved in environmental protection by separating waste. In addition, the campaign aims to pressure officials to set up a system for the protection of dangerous waste and the separation of collected waste. The campaign material includes a board game, postcards addressed to responsible politicians, and canvas bags discouraging the use of plastic bags.
