The Index Project and the mission of design to improve life is powered by many people. From nominees to winners, partners to friends and, of course, the board who oversee our work.
Led by Chairman Jens Wittrup Willumsen, The Index Project’s Board of Directors is a team of seven both experienced and forward-thinking change-makers, who aim to sustain and scale the organisation’s impact.
This year, we’ve onboarded three new board members, and are happy to bring on board a pioneering social impact consultant, a design company leader and a seasoned tech entrepreneur/investor.
Matias Pollman-Larsen is Partner in the Copenhagen office of Boston Consulting Group. He’s furthermore the Nordic lead for the social impact sector and a global expert on social impact, sustainability and diversity to name a few. He’s co-authored a number of times on the aforementioned topics and has experience working in South America, Africa and Asia.
Kjersti Lund has always been passionate about empowering and motivating people to unleash their full potential. As the European Managing Director and part of the Global Leadership Team at the strategic design company Designit, that’s exactly what she’s doing. She’s helped grow Designit from nine to 18 offices worldwide and is now responsible for driving the company’s strategic direction globally.
Last, but certainly not least, we welcome tech entrepreneur and angel investor Navid Samandari. He’s spent the last two decades building companies, especially focusing on using emerging technologies, innovative business models and strategic design to scale projects. Furthermore, he’s an important mentor for and investor in deep tech and impact start-ups.
"We're delighted to have Kjersti, Navid and Matias join the Board of Directors," says Board Chairman Jens Wittrup Willumsen. "Collective efforts around sustainable design, business and investment are essential pathways for creating the impact we, The Index Project, can offer — and what the world needs right now. "Stepping in and stepping up at a time of global uncertainty is testament to the tenacity of our Board and we welcome them at this exciting time.”
