A low-priced laptop for educational purposes

US Research indicates that income groups are of growing importance as a determiner when it comes to educational level, a fact known as the attainment gap. The higher income level, the more likely students are to complete college.

Project Inkwell resulted in the The Spark K-12 learning device, which was designed with the object of putting a laptop computer in the hands of every student in the US. Its price is projected to be a third of other laptops, but nevertheless it accommodates wireless Internet, has a LCD screen and an ergonomic Bluetooth mouse.
